Are you a Queensland-based small business that would like to increase your digital marketing activity? Would you benefit from training in building your online presence or developing a digital marketing strategy?
If so, then you will definitely be interested in the Small Business Digital Grants Program, a Queensland Government initiative designed to assist small businesses to access the latest digital technologies to increase their productivity and competitiveness. Applications for Round 3 of the program opened on September 27th and close on October 24th 2017.
Under the Advancing Queensland Small Business Strategy 2016-20, the State Government announced a $6 million program of grants designed to help small businesses get educated in digital marketing and "embrace digital technologies".
With digital marketing and social media becoming increasingly important factors in promoting small businesses, the government has recognised that many small business owners don't have the time, resources or expertise to really drive these aspects of their business.
In fact, one of the statistics from the government announcement was that a staggering 55% of small businesses in Queensland aren't yet online.
How much is being offered?
Grants of up to $10,000 will be available on a "dollar-for-dollar" matching scheme to assist small businesses to 'get online', get ahead online' or 'get online marketing skills'.
The grants can be used to purchase digital training, digital marketing support, website design and hardware or software to support your business managing their digital presence.
This is an exciting initiative which offers Queensland businesses a fantastic opportunity to develop their digital marketing strategy and online presence.
